Jennifer James-Utermoehl
Jennifer James grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where she trained at Main Stage Ballet and Dance Academy for 12 years. She then moved to Mankato, Minnesota where she was a member of the Maverick Dance Team for 4 years while she earned her bachelors degree in dance.
Jennifer is now the Owner/Director of JPJ Productions and specializes in choreography, conditioning and technique. She is passionate about individual growth and guiding her students to reach their full potential. She is also respected as a top choreographer in Minnesota with multiple team and solo title wins, 1st place overall placements and best choreography awards.
In 2017 Jennifer was hired as the head coach for the Minnesota State University, Mankato Dance Team. She is responsible for all team dancer’s technique, practices, schedules, costumes, performances, competitions and organizing clinics. Jennifer lead the team to a 2019 National win in the Pom category in just her 2nd year as head coach.
In addition, Jennifer has been invited to teach at multiple conventions and intensives in the midwest where she specializes in jazz, lyrical and contemporary. Jennifer is responsible for creating material geared towards all levels of dancers.
